How should I prepare for my future profession?

How should I prepare for my future profession?

Do you know what it is like working in your future profession (e.g. engineering, nursing, business...)? Do you know what qualities are required to become a preferred graduate in your discipline? Work through the items in the "Becoming a Preferred Graduate" checklist then you will find enlightening answers. While you are reading through the items in the checklist, think seriously about 'how far am I from being a preferred graduate'. Don't be disappointed to find yourself only half a bucket of water or less. You are a fresh undergraduate. We don't expect you to score high for the items. Now that you know 'where you are' and 'where you should be' you can set your learning goals for your study in the university. Your programme of study is designed to help you achieve your learning goals. Be confident to face the challenges!

Note: Checklist is only available for programmes involved in the PolyU Learning to Learn Project.
