The Brinc Cyberport PolyU Co-Acceleration Program is a strategic initiative designed to foster innovation and accelerate the growth of startups in theme-based approach by leveraging the unique strengths of Brinc, Cyberport, and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). This program offers a comprehensive blend of technical advisory, industry mentorship, business development, and investment support to participating companies, with a particular focus on nurturing collaboration between startups and PolyU’s academic expertise in intellectual property (IP) exploration and commercialization.

Through this partnership, Brinc provides a comprehensive curriculum aimed at equipping startups with the skills and resources needed to succeed in fundraising and product development. Participating companies benefit from pitch refinement sessions guided by global investment professionals, access to market validation opportunities through Brinc’s ecosystem partners, and connections to international business networks to accelerate their go-to-market strategies. The program also integrates substantial investment support, including eligibility for funding from Brinc’s investor network.

Eligibility

Applicants must be one of the following:
(a) A PolyU startup with at least one PolyU member (alumni, staff, or student) holding a minimum of 10% ownership in the startup; or
(b) A Cyberport company (including CIP incubatee and CCMF grantee) or alumni company and existing PolyU licensee, or commits to use and license PolyU intellectual property (IP) upon completion of the acceleration program.

  • PolyU Startup + non-Cyberport Company: 13 June, 2025 (Friday)

 

Programme Fee: HK$ 250,000


Subsidy amounts from PolyU and Cyberport are as follows:

  1. If the participating company is a PolyU startup and a Cyberport company (CIP Incubatee, CCMF grantee or alumnus) and enters into a Full License agreement with PolyU, the PolyU subsidy will be HK$150,000, with an additional HK$37,500 from Cyberport.
  2. If the participating company is a PolyU startup and a Cyberport company but does not enter into a Full License (or enters into a Trial License), the PolyU subsidy will be HK$100,000, with an additional HK$87,500 from Cyberport.
  3. PolyU Startups which are Not Cyberport companies that pass the PolyU Judging Panel are eligible to apply for a HK$250,000 subsidy from PolyU.
