PolyU co-hosted online seminar series with French Consulate: “Sustainable City Lecture Series - Can We Make our Planet Great Again?

PolyU and Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macau had co-hosted the first series of an online seminar titled “Sustainable City Lecture Series: Can We Make our Planet Great Again” with 2 main topics: ‘Urban ecological water management, accompanied with greening measures and innovative and inclusive urban design’ and ‘Smart City: Air Pollution and Quality Control’ on 4 November 2020. This seminar was supported by Research Institute for Sustainable Urban Development (RISUD) and Innovation and Technology Development Office (ITDO) of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and had invited university-industry mix of speakers to share their views, experiences and good practices towards the sustainability of the city.

Mr. Alexandre Giorgini, Consul General, Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macau and Ir. Professor Albert P.C. CHAN, Head of Department of Building and Real Estate, Associate Director of RISUD, PolyU attended and delivered a welcome remarks. The online seminar was a big success with over 200 online audiences and five insightful speeches with two Q&A sections had been carried through the 2-hour online seminar.
