Earlier in May, ITC has led 19 students to showcase their design talents on Beijing catwalk for the first time during the “China Graduate Fashion Week”, one of the biggest fashion events in Chinese mainland. The PolyU show staged on 15 May has attracted more than 400 guests and fashion experts to attend, with another over 2 million people watching the live broadcasting online. In the fashion week, 54 mainland and overseas renowned fashion and design institutes presented their respective graduation shows at 751D Park, a famous art zone in Beijing, to showcase their creativity and talent.

In this year’s PolyU fashion show, for the very first time, ITC collaborated with the Hong Kong Sports Institute and The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust for local elite athletes to showcase their all-rounded talent and charisma beyond sports competition arena. Five elite athletes made their catwalk debut and transformed into fashion models to present the Fall and Winter collection of DEMO. on the runway. They were also styled by ITC alumna Miss Constance Lee, who has been providing styling service for celebrities  such as Hins Cheung, Alfred Hui and Joyce Cheng in their concerts and advertising campaigns. DEMO. was a local fashion brand founded by ITC alumnus Mr Derek Chan in 2013. Inspired by classic men and women’s wear, he has developed DEMO. into a brand renowned for its soft lines and structures, as well as neo-traditional details, signifying a break from gender images restricted by traditional labels.
