ITC Orientation Day

Prof. Jintu Fan, Head and Chair Professor of ITC, welcomed nearly 130 freshmen of BA and MA programmes at the Orientation Day on 26 August 2019. Staff members from different areas and departments were also invited to share useful information such as health and safety issues, student support services on occupational, physical, social, intellectual, spiritual and emotional wellness with the students, to make sure that they can familiarise the new campus life easily.

In the academic year of 2019/20, a total of 920 students are admitted:

Nearly 3,500 local and overseas applications were received to admit our flagship programme, BA (Hon) Scheme in Fashion and Textiles. The admissions score of JUPAS applicants (average DSE score) is 21.0, which is the same as previous year. Applications are received from renowned schools, including Heep Yunn School, St Paul’s Convent School, True Light Girls’ College, Ying Wa College, Ying Wa Girls’ School, Maryknoll Secondary School, Po Leung kuk Ngan Po Ling College, Pope Paul VI College, Sacred Heart Canossian College, Po Leung Kuk Choi Kai Yau School and etc. In addition, we received over a hundred non-JUPAS applications based on A-level qualifications or IB. With the growing number of international students who are interested in pursuing their undergraduate study in Hong Kong, we received over 60 overseas applications and five are accepted to study in the programme.
