Staff promotions: Drs Kinor Jiang, Chu-po Ho and Jin Lam

ITC is pleased to announce the promotions of three staff members effective 1 July 2018. Dr Kinor Jiang has been promoted to Professor; Dr Chu-po Ho has been promoted to Associate Professor; and Dr Jin Lam will hold a new position as Assistant Professor.


Prof. Jiang obtained both his MA in Fashion and Textile Design and PhD from ITC. His research focuses on innovative textile effects by using physical and chemical treatment technologies. He is internationally renowned for developing metallised textiles. Prof. Jiang has published extensively, and the author of more than 100 academic papers and books. His works have been part of the permanent collections of museums including the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, UK; Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco in the USA; and China National Silk Museum in Hangzhou, China.


Dr Chu-po Ho earned his MA in Fashion and Textiles from Nottingham Trent University in the UK, and his PhD from ITC. His teaching and research areas of specialisation include draping and pattern cutting, fashion illustrating, visualising and presenting fashion concepts, functional fashion designing, etc.


Dr Jin Lam obtained both her MA in Fashion and Textile Design and PhD from ITC. Her teaching and research specialisations are fashion design, fashion illustration and development of smart fashion. Dr Lam has obtained different sources of funding to support her research work, such as the Fund for CERG Project, and Block Grant except CRG.
