QS World University Ranking 2022 and THE Young University Rankings 2021

Viewed as one of the most widely read university rankings in the world, the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings published its latest league table in June. We are thrilled to learn that PolyU has climbed nine places to achieve an overall ranking of 66th place globally, making PolyU one of the only two universities in Hong Kong rising in the rankings compared to last year.   PolyU also managed to improve in all ranking indicators, with the greatest improvements in “Citation per Faculty” and “Faculty/Student Ratio”. The University also demonstrated strong performance in “International Faculty” (41st place globally) and “Academic Reputation” (98th place globally). These remarkable results have placed PolyU in the top 5% of institutions ranked this year.   In addition, PolyU is proud to rise to 12th place in the latest Times Higher Education (THE) Young University Rankings 2021, up seven places from last year. In this league table, institutions 50 years old or younger are ranked according to their performance in teaching, research, citations, international outlook and industry income.   Going forward, the University will continue to strive for world-class excellence in research and education, thereby upholding the University’s mission of making a positive contribution to Hong Kong, the Nation and the world.   For more information on the QS World University Rankings 2022, please click here.   For more information on the THE Young University Rankings 2021, please log in here to read.
