STEFG-PolyU China Entrepreneurship Fund
Support Entrepreneurship in the Chinese Mainland
In 2013, PolyU partnered with STEFG to establish the first ever China-Hong Kong cross-border matching fund for PolyU graduates to start new businesses in the Chinese mainland (Shenzhen and Shanghai) with RMB 200,000 funding support for each entrepreneurial project which qualifies.
Some start-ups had secured additional funding and investments with Xiaomia and Tencent among the investors. The start-ups had won local and international awards; other forms of recognition received by the start-ups include admission to the world-renowned Y-Combinator and the inclusion on the Forbes Asia “30 Under 30” list in 2016.
