The first PolyU Design Masterclass on Strategic Branding was delivered on 8th and 15th October 2021 to nineteen participants. Participant background was a mix from the public and private sectors including the Directors, Curators and Marketing Team from different museums in Hong Kong, Senior Executives from one of the leading catering groups and a business owner from the wine industry.
We were fortunate enough to have had a world-class luxury brand expert Mr. Carlo Imo, Ex-President of Kering Asia Pacific, to co-teach with Dr. Jörn Bühring, Assistant Professor, School of Design. Additionally, Ms Julie Wang Chou, Partner of Capital International, also joined the course to give participants the investment perspective on branding. Speakers shared their invaluable experience on the macro trends on branding, brand health, brand creativity and successful brand portfolio strategies with the participants.
