Mr. Carlo Imo gained almost 30 years international work experience in various corporate leadership roles in Europe and Asia in the sectors of fashion and luxury.
His latest role of the President of Kering Asia Pacific with the regional headquarters in Hong Kong from 2014-2018. Kering is a global luxury group for a series of renewed houses in fashion, leather goods, jewellery and watches. Brands include Gucci, Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta, Balenciaga, etc. His major achievements include driving growth on the group revenue and profits to unprecedented height in Kering.
He is currently devoting research time to futures studies and trends foresight especially – but not exclusively – relevant to strategic planning.
Dr. Jörn Bühring

Prior to joining academia, Dr. Bühring held senior corporate leadership positions across diverse industries, leading major project initiatives including innovative start-ups, entrepreneurial and intrapreneurial business formations, and enterprise expansions into new markets.
Working within a wide range of global brand icons (e.g. Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Toyota, and Bang & Olufsen A/S), and across diverse organizational cultures and geographic locations, he has accumulated extensive experiences as a senior executive in a variety of industries, and his knowledge of the demands of the future is based on first hand experiences.
Dr. Bühring's research explores Design Foresight, Vision and Fiction techniques as emerging processes within Strategic Design, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation Management. A full member of the "World Futures Studies Federation" (www.wfsf.org), he has conducted since 2010 several major futures studies in luxury hospitality (2020), Omni-channel retailing (2020), and within the Financial Services sector, he has been leading a series of industry funded futures studies in Wealth Management and Private Banking to the year 2025, 2030, and beyond.
Active across international markets, he collaborates with leading Universities in research and design-led innovation; Dr. Bühring holds an honorary Adjunct Associate Professor position within the College of Business at RMIT University in Australia, and Program Advisory Board Member at the College of Business, Abu Dhabi University, UAE.
