Dr. Daniel Wai Ming Chan
Associate Professor in Construction Project Management

Being a Project Manager, Chartered Building Engineer and Registered Construction Manager by profession, Dr. Chan is also the Honorary Secretary and Member of the Executive Council of the Hong Kong Institute of Project Management (HKIPM).

Dr. Chan has published over 220 research papers on the broad theme of project management in leading construction management journals and international conference proceedings.


Dr. Francis Ming Fung Siu
Assistant Professor of Construction and Real Estate Management
Department of Building and Real Estate, PolyU

Dr. Siu is building on previous industrial research experience, which he gained while collaborating with multiple construction companies in both Hong Kong and Canada to advance the knowledge and practice of building, infrastructure, and industrial construction.

His research focuses on developing innovative methods and technologies in the fields of project planning, control and visualization.

Mr. Gilbert Kwok
Partner, Hong Kong, Clyde & Co

Gilbert is a partner of Clyde & Co’s China Construction Group.  Before he started his legal work in 1991, he had been a qualified quantity surveyor in the construction industry.  He is experienced in drafting and advising on construction contracts, consultancy agreements and other related contracts relating to a wide range of infrastructure projects in a number of countries and cities, such as Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Macau, Korea, Bolivia, Ecuador, Soviet Union and Angola.  In addition, he is also a construction disputes specialist.  He has successfully handled numerous arbitration and litigation cases for 28 years.

Gilbert is recognized as a leading lawyer for construction (Hong Kong and China) in Chambers Asia Pacific since 2012.

He is also a Fellow, Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors (HKIS) and Past Chairman, the Quantity Surveying Division of HKIS.

On community services, he was the president of the Rotary Club of Peninsula from July 2017 - June 2019.


Ir. Tam Ming Fai, Alan
Project Controller (Construction), Hopewell Construction Company Limited

Ir. Alan Tam is currently Project Controller (Construction) of Hopewell Construction Company Limited. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree and a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil and Structural Engineering from The University of Hong Kong. He joined Hopewell Holdings Limited in 1995 and was engaged in financing, construction and operation of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen Superhighway. Ir Tam has over 20 years of relevant experience in planning, development, design, construction and operation of highway infrastructure projects and development of new construction projects in the PRC.



Mr. Chang Zhongjiao 
President, State Grid Brazil Holding S.A.

Mr. Chang Zhongjiao, President of State Grid Brazil Holding SA and Chief Executive Officer of Belo Monte Transmissora de Energia (HUVDC). Senior Engineer, with Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Master Degree in Business Management and Administration, with 35 years experiences in Electrical Power areas in which about 12 years experiences in power generation and transmission project construction, more than 20 years in the management of planning, procurement, engineering and international business.

He has rich practical experience and outstanding achievements in power project construction, operation, project investment and financing, international project management, and cross-cultural management. Since 2014 he works in State Grid Brazil Holding SA and is responsible for the development and construction of Greenfield project. He organized and implemented the construction of 8 Greenfield projects in Brazil including Bele Monte Hydro power station ±800kV UHVDC transmission project and created a number of record in the history of Brazilian electric power construction.
