Overview

Introduction

The Institute of Advanced Executive Education (IAEE) of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) is now offering an accredited conversion programme of Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA). It prepares non-accounting degree holders to pursue careers in accounting and financial services or gain an edge in a business career.

  • Single subject enrolment to fulfill HKICPA QP requirements is welcomed.
  • Admission for 2019 (July intake) is now open.

 Objectives

  • Apply and evaluate contemporary development and framework in external reporting, including corporate financial accounting, Hong Kong taxation, auditing, and information system.
  • Apply up-to-date accounting and finance concepts and techniques in decision making, including management accounting, managerial finance and strategic management.
  • Analyze and evaluate the legal, regulatory and ethical issues facing professional accountants.
  • Analyze and apply theoretical frameworks in accounting and finance.

 

Features

  • The programme enables student with a non-accounting degree to be qualified to enter the HKICPA QP upon completion of the programme.
  • The teaching staff of the programme is drawn from the teaching team of PolyU’s School of Accounting and Finance, which has long been established as a leading provider of tertiary education in accounting.
