Co-organised by the United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) and the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) in collaboration with the SHTM and the People’s Government of Guilin, the Fourth UNWTO/PATA Forum on Tourism Trends and Outlook was successfully held in Guilin, China, on 2-4 September 2010.

The SHTM is committed to nurturing all-round graduates who are also responsible citizens and contributive members of the community. One way of doing this is by encouraging students, and staff members, to serve the community through the use of their professional knowledge and skills.

The Hong Kong PolyU Winter School is an annual programme developed to cater to the needs of senior managers in the hospitality industry. Co-organised by the SHTM and the Hong Kong Hotels Association, and sponsored by the Pacific Asia Travel Association, the Royal Garden and the Institute of Hospitality, the 2011 programme will be held on 17-29 January on the PolyU campus.
