Hotel is a dynamic and competitive industry. To stay ahead, it is essential that professionals within the industry continuously improve their skills and broaden their knowledge. To this end, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Dusit Thani College have developed the Executive Development Program in Hospitality to cater to the needs of senior hospitality managers.

This course is aimed at creating service quality leadership among managers and supervisory employees in hotels and other service businesses.

Hospitality industries are becoming increasingly competitive. Customers today have far more choices to make when they purchase hospitality services. Only those businesses which clearly understand the concept of customer satisfaction through "engineering superior quality of service" can win over the customers.

This course covers the principles and practical guidelines in generating profits in the hospitality industry through service quality enhancement and customer satisfaction. Qualities of leadership in hospitality will be examined in relation to generating high customer value. Case studies will be presented to demonstrate and explain the core principles in service quality management. The course will help participants appreciate how customer satisfaction leads to an increase of profit. Methods for delivering quality service, in addition to implementing service audit and evaluation systems will be discussed.
