Revenue Management drew more attention from the hospitality and travel industry in recent years thanks to the firms’ efforts to enhance revenues strategically and systematically in today’s fast paced and intensely competitive business environment. This course will show participants today and tomorrow of revenue management in the hospitality industry through case studies, examples and scenario based discussions. The main objective of this course is to equip the participants with better tools and methods to utilize revenue management techniques in today’s business environment.

The course is composed of four sections:
(1) The hotel revenue management approach ► The start and evolution of revenue management along with the strategic levers and benefits.
(2) Forecasting and controlling availability ► Importance of forecasting, steps of forecasting and controlling availability.
(3) Strategic pricing and management of distribution channels ► Value creation, price structure, price and value communication, setting price level and rate fences.
(4) Cultural integration of revenue management to the organization ► Revenue management’s role in the organization and how to turn revenue management to a part of the organizational culture.
