The length of PolyU’s PhD Programmes differs according to the following admission requirements:
Admission Requirements Length of Programme (years) normally hold an MPhil or equivalent (an RPg degree with a dissertation as an award requirement) conferred by a recognised university 3-year full-time/6-year part-time normally hold: - a Bachelor’s degree with First Class Honours (or equivalent qualification), conferred by a recognised university; OR
- a Master’s degree
4-year full-time/8-year part-time -
Collaborative PhD Training Programme
The “Collaborative PhD Training Programme” is referred to as the PhD Training programme offered by PolyU collaborating with a Partner Institution/Organisation of good standing. The PhD students registered under the programme will be required to fulfil the residence requirements of both PolyU and the Partner Institution/Organisation.
Upon satisfactory completion of the programme, coursework and graduation requirements as agreed by PolyU and the Partner Institution/Organisation, the student will receive a PhD award granted by PolyU and a certificate of completion from Partner Institution if applicable according to the signed agreement.
