A large cuckoo, with contrasting bluish black and chestnut body colours. Bill thick and tail long.

大型杜鵑，藍黑色和栗色成強烈對比，咀厚而尾長。

Cares own young, unlike other cuckoos. Calls on top of bushes. Spends much time on ground and among thick bushes.

不如其他杜鵑，會親自撫養後代。在矮叢頂鳴叫，大部份時間在地上活動或於濃密灌叢內攀爬。

Greater Coucal has a breeding population in Kowloon Park.

九龍公園有飼養褐翅鴉鵑。
