Measures to reduce the use of takeaway lunchboxes and cups

PolyU launched a trial exercise from 19 March and will last through 31 May 2018 aiming to reduce the use of takeaway lunchboxes and cups on Main Campus and Student Halls of Residence (Hung Hom and Homantin). Under this trial, members of the campus community can enjoy a greater Bring Your Own (BYO) discount if they bring their own food and beverage containers during all business hours at designated catering outlets. Meanwhile, HK$1 is charged for each takeaway lunchbox and cup at designated catering outlets during non-peak hours.
