Removing single trash bins to boost recycling

In order to encourage waste reduction and to boost recycling practices, the University started to remove single/individual trash bins from August 2017 gradually, in particular:

• those inside classrooms and lecture theatres on 3/F and 5/F of campus buildings and wings; and
• some on corridor and podium level.

This new arrangement reminds the University community that we can all contribute to cut waste generation, and disposal is never the only option. We can all become active supporters to waste separation at source by making good use of the UniRe® collection/recycling bins readily available on campus.
