PolyU Belt and Road Funding Scheme

 

The Belt and Road Funding Scheme, consisting of Belt and Road Learning Experience Fund and Belt and Road Student Mobility Scheme, aims to support faculties, schools, departments and student-related offices in organising thematic curricular and extracurricular activities to promote bilateral student mobility and enrich PolyU students’ Belt and Road experience. 

 

The application should be made by PolyU’s faculties, schools, departments and student-related offices only.

Application period for the 2023/24 Cohort has ended. 

  1. Belt and Road Learning Experience Fund

    The Fund supports faculties, schools, departments and offices in organising Belt and Road study programmes that strengthen students’ multicultural competency and enrich students’ Belt and Road experience.

  2. Belt and Road Student Mobility Scheme

    The Scheme supports PolyU’s academic units and student-related offices in receiving students from Belt and Road universities for research attachment, training, internship, or any other relevant student programmes.

The K.C. Wong Belt and Road Visiting Fellowship Scheme


To foster academic exchanges between PolyU and higher education institutions in the Belt and Road region, the K.C. Wong Belt and Road Visiting Fellowship Scheme supports PolyU academia to visit the Belt and Road countries for academic exchanges and education collaborations. The Scheme provides up to 10 fellowships each year to PolyU researchers/educators for undertaking research and educational activities in B&R countries. The duration of the visit is from 7 days to 2 weeks.

 

Endorsement from the department and faculty is required for each application.

Applications for the 2024/25 Cohort will be accepted until 7 June 2024.

Belt and Road Academic Fellowship Scheme

 

To develop and strengthen strategic partnerships with top universities in the Belt and Road region, the Belt and Road Academic Fellowship Scheme supports research talents and outstanding scholars from institutions in the Belt and Road countries and regions for undertaking research related activities at PolyU. The duration of the visit is normally three to four months.

Endorsement from the department/school/faculty is required for each application.

Network Initiative Scheme

 

To support PolyU students’ and faculty’s participation in / organization of activities of major networks of importance to strategic partnership and brand building of PolyU. Activities can be those organized by PolyU academic units or student-related offices for the networks or PolyU students / faculty participating in activities organized by the networks.

Endorsement from the department/school/faculty is required for each application.
