FH greeted Year of the Monkey at Wong Tai Sin Temple

Invited by Sik Sik Yuen, Faculty of Humanities ushered in the Year of the Monkey with a visit to Wong Tai Sin Temple on 4 March 2016. Faculty Dean, Prof. Chu Hung-lam, together with 16 other staff members of the Faculty were warmly received by Abbot Lee Yiu Fai (Yee Kok) and Mr Leung Lee-chung, Director of Sik Sik Yuen. The visit began with an introduction to the history of Sik Sik Yuen and the development of Taoism, followed by a guided tour of the Main Altar, Tai Sui Yuenchen Hall, Confucian Hall, Good Wish Garden and other buildings in Wong Tai Sin Temple. The visit is an outreach activity of FH to exchange cultural views with the community.
