Miss Xu Chenzi, a final-year student in the BA(Hons) in English Studies for the Professions programme, was honoured with the Outstanding Student Award of the Faculty of Humanities at the 2015 Outstanding Student Awards Presentation Ceremony on 15 March 2016. Prof. Timothy W. Tong, President of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, officiated at the ceremony and presented the awards.

Also presented at the ceremony was the Outstanding Student Award of Department. Together with Miss Xu, Year 2 student Miss So Tim Yi from the Department of Chinese and Bilingual Studies  and Year 2 student Miss Li Nanxun from the Department of Chinese Culture were among the recipients.

PolyU's Outstanding Student Award is granted on an annual basis to full-time final-year students who excel in both academic and non-academic pursuits during their studies. Each academic department is allowed to nominate one candidate. The “Most Outstanding PolyU Student” is then selected among the eight awardees from six faculties and two independent schools.
