Introduction to the trip:
Ha Tsuen (夏村) situates between Ping Shan (屏山) and Deep Bay (后海灣) to the northwest of Yuen Long. It was settled by one of the major clans in the New Territories, the Tang, who had been living in Yuen Long since 12th Century. The tour will walk through the village to visit the Guesthouse (禮賓樓), Yau Kung School (友恭學校) and the Tang Ancestral Hall (鄧氏宗祠). While participants get to know and appreciate the architectural features of those traditional buildings, the history of clans of Hong Kong will be covered during the guided tour.

After lunch in a popular local vegetarian restaurant, the trip will be continued with an ecological tour in Lau Fau Shan to see the wetland and traditional fish ponds there.
