Mr Ballesteros was born in Spain but studies in a French School in Spain and then lived in Ireland, Scotland and Germany. He has over nine years working experience in Europe and Hong Kong. He has worked with many start-up helping them in their PR and events organization, research and consultancy as well as business development. He has also promoted Spanish products in Hong Kong, such as wine, cava, ham and olive oil and carried out important market research projects. He is currently Secretary General of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong.

Alfonso will be talking about the issues that Spanish companies might encounter when doing business in Hong Kong and difficulties that Hong Kong companies might experience in Spain. He will also introduce the upcoming Spanish event “La Feria”, the largest event of the Chamber for the year.

The Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong is a non-profit private entity that draws its members from both Hong Kong and Spain. Their members are corporations and individuals dedicated and involved in the promotion of commercial, economic and industrial relations between Spain and Hong Kong. Formerly known as the Spanish Business Association, the new officially recognized Spanish Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1991 by a group of Spanish entrepreneurs. Since then its membership has been growing continuously to reach currently more than 170 partners, becoming a widely known dynamic business group in Spain as well as Hong Kong.
