The Faculty of Engineering Tour Programme caters for high school, secondary school and pre-university students who wish to learn more about the engineering study.  Students with interests pursuing engineering study are welcome to register for the tour programme. (Online registration)

The tour covers a general introduction of engineering study only.

Tours run weekly:
Every Friday, 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. (Gathering time: 3:50 p.m.).
Every Saturday 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon (Gathering time: 10:50 a.m.)

Meeting Location: Please gather at the Pao Yue-kong Library entrance 10 minutes before the start of the tour. (Location map)

How to Apply

Reservations are required for the tour sessions. Family and friends are welcome to join the tour. Please note that around 1 hour of walking will be involved and arrangements can be made for those with limited mobility.

Bad Weather Arrangements

Please check the up-to-date weather announcements and warnings at HK Observatory website. The following arrangements will be made during inclement weather events:

Rainstorm Warnings
Rainstorm Amber Warning Tour remains as scheduled. Please bring an umbrella.
Rainstorm Red Warning Tour remains as scheduled. Please bring an umbrella.
Rainstorm Black Warning Tour will be cancelled if not yet started.
If the tour has commenced, special considerations will be made to minimize outdoor exposure. After the tour ends, visitors can choose to stay on campus till the rainstorm signal drops.
Tropical Cyclone Warnings
Typhoon Signal No. 1 or 3 Tour remains as scheduled.
When HK Observatory has announced the hoisting of Typhoon Signal No.8 within the next 2 hours, the visit schedule will be cancelled.
The visit schedule will not resume until all the signals have been lowered.

 

Registered visitors will receive an email notification if there is any change to the tour schedule.
