Insufficient land supply and surging property price are among the major factors that make the housing problem in Hong Kong a complex and pressing one. The Under Secretary for Transport and Housing Dr Raymond So joined PolyU faculty as well as professionals and representatives from industry and NGOs to share views and knowledge at the seminar on “transitional pre-fabricated modular housing” organized by PolyU. Hopefully, the policy maker and experts would figure out a temporary alleviation that paves way for a longer-term solution. PolyU, with its strength in building technology, design and social innovation, stands ready to support the Government to translate its housing vision into reality.
