86 Department of Applied Mathematics Department of Applied Mathematics Qualification PhD (XJTU; McMaster) Postdoc (TAU; Michigan; BNU) ORCID ID 0000-0003-3253-654X Dr HE Daihai Associate Professor Research Overview Dr He’s primary research interests are mathematical epidemiology, dynamical system, and statistical inference. Dr He’s works on pandemic influenza 1918 and 2009 have published in leading research journals and caught wide media attention, including reports in CNN, New York Time, CBC and NPR. Dr He’s works on Zika virus have been cited in the official report of European Center for Disease Control and Prevention. Dr He’s work on a general statistical inference framework for disease modelling has been citied more than 225 times according to Google Scholar. In application aspect, Dr He and colleagues have developed a software for online quality prediction of fabric for Esquel limited. The software induced an annual profit of 2,000,000 RMB. Recently Dr He and colleagues obtained a collaborative research grant from Alibaba (China) on the modeling of the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic.
