Biography

Prof. Brian Lee is Assistant Dean (Resources & Infrastructure), an Associate Professor, Leader of Asian Lifestyle Design Lab, and Programme Leader of BA (Hons) in Product Design at Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He researches and teaches product and service system design, interactive product experience, and cocreation approach with and for the communities to explore the development of sustainable and quality living, ageing society and other action projects to extrapolate positive value change. Brian has extensive experience leading cross-disciplinary design research and action projects. He is keen on developing practical design tools to explore actionable insights through human-centred and collaborative design approaches. His current projects include identifying intelligent product and service system framework in the nursing home to promote autonomy living, exploring an educational and service design system to promote sustainable uses of renewable resources in the processes of craftsmanship and art and design projects, reviewing the placemaking service design approach through public art furniture etc.
