I graduated from the University of California, Davis, in 2014 and my major was psychology and human development. After graduation, I came back to Hong Kong and became a research assistant at RS of PolyU under Prof. Hector Tsang’s supervision. After being exposed to several research projects on mental health, I found myself really interested in conducting research on mind-body exercises and mental illness. I am now a PhD student of Prof. Hector Tsang. My research focuses on using mind-body exercises to help non-Chinese-speaking students in Hong Kong to reduce anxiety, especially the anxiety they experience when learning Chinese. By reducing their foreign language anxiety, I hope they could have better academic achievements and job opportunities in the future.
