Brief Biosketch

Dr. Chao Liu is currently a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE) at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Auckland, New Zealand, in 2018. He obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering both from Northeastern University, China, in 2012 and 2014, respectively. Before joining ISE at PolyU, Dr. Liu has been working on a Horizon2020 project as a Research Associate (Postdoc) in the School of Engineering at Cardiff University, UK, from May 2019.

Recruitment of Postdoctoral Fellow

I am looking for a Postdoctoral Fellow to assist in the research project: “Digital twin-enabled real-time process optimization for fluid jet polishing of freeform surfaces”.

Applicants should have obtained a PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Data Science or related disciplines.

Preference will be given to those with experience in sensor signal analysis, data analytics and machine learning, machining process optimization and control, and machining simulation.
