Technical visit to WEEE · PARK

WEEE · PARK is a state-of-the-art facility designed to treat 30,000 tonnes of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) every year.  Its mission is to turn waste into resources by dismantling old electronics and recovering valuable raw materials like Steel, Copper, Aluminum, and Plastics, while safely disposing of hazardous toxins.

WEEE · PARK consists of 5 zones, including Exhibition Corridor, Unloading Bay, Buffer Storage, Processing Hall and Dashboard Area. Equipped with interesting visual design, interactive games and animation demonstrating the importance and impact of disposal of WEEE to the environment and human health, visitor can witness the operations of the facility through designated viewing gallery in WEEE · PARK to understand the recycling and treatment processes of WEEE, as well as the importance of turning waste into resources.

 

The visit takes you through 5 zones, including an Exhibition Corridor and a designated Viewing Gallery where you can witness the recycling technology in action:

  1. Interactive Education - Through animations, games, and visual designs, visitors learn how improper e-waste disposal impacts the environment and human health.
  2. The 4 Processing Lines in Action
  • Line 1 & 2 (Cooling Appliances): Watch the safe extraction of refrigerants from fridges and air-conditioners.
  • Line 3 (Sorting Central): See the central shredder process computers, washing machines, and printers, sorting them into reusable raw materials.
  • Line 4 (Screen Detox): Observe robotic arms and hot-wire technology dismantling CRT and flat-screen TVs to remove hazardous mercury and lead glass.

Remarks

  1. Successful candidates will be notified on or before 24 March 2026 (Tuesday).
  2. Participants should arrange their own insurance coverage if deemed necessary.  MILESAA will not be liable for any personal injury during the visit.
