Biography
Jie obtained her BSc and MSc degrees from University of Oxford in the UK. She received her undergraduate scholarship awards in the two consecutive years (2009 and 2010). She started her career in an Architecture Institute as a structure engineer, and later on settled in BIM Research Center in a Chinese university as a lecturer. She co-written two textbooks on BIM application topics and published several Sci paper in civil engineering journals.
Jie studied Engineering Science at University of Oxford, which allowed her to acquire the knowledge from different engineering fields such as civil engineering, biomedical engineering, chemical engineering and electrical engineering, this laid a solid foundation for her deeper cultivation in any engineering field.

Research Scope
Wearable sensor for assessing health conditions is now widely used in sports profession, and elder/disable people. The safety of construction workers, one of the most unsafe profession, has drawn many attentions in recent years. My research will focus on how to invent and apply advanced biomedical instrumentation technology to monitor the real-time healthy conditions of workers, therefore, minimize the accidents in the construction field.
Research Methodology
This study employs sensor production, machine learning, deep learning, computing vision as key research methods.
