Date: 09 May 2017

Time: 12:30 PM - 2:30 PM

Venue: TU616

What is teaching? What makes a good teacher? How to teach effectively? Who can help? When to reflect?

Questions in your mind and heart are questions in common among all PolyU teachers.

To answer by yourself? Why not SHARE, LEARN, DISCUSS, RELFECT and IMPROVE together?

This ITG session will have social media as the theme with focus on Facebook as a teaching tool.

In this session, we will · Listen to case studies/stories of using Facebook as a teaching tool in real classrooms from experienced teachers across different disciplines; · Get introduced social media pedagogies and best practices from literature; · Discuss with peer teachers controversial issues (e.g. privacy, data protection, copyright) of social media as an educational tool; and · Brainstorm potential solutions to problems encountered and hopefully with group wisdom work out feasible action plan.
