Electronic Engineering at PolyU dates back to the early 1970s, with the Department of Electronic Engineering becoming one of the first academic departments in Hong Kong undertaking research and teaching in this field. Since then the Department has gone through an exciting course of development, becoming rapidly one of the leading departments worldwide in numerous fields of Electronic and Information Engineering.
We are in the lead of a wide range of areas of this dynamic field and aim at producing high-impact research that is relevant to industry and society, focusing on solving complex research problems creatively.
