: eLearning-based Physics Laboratory Course

A short course for students of the Hong Kong Academy for Gifted Education (Introductory Workshop in Physics: Physics Remote Laboratory Workshop

A short summer course (Introductory Workshop in Physics: Physics Remote Laborattory Workshop (SCIS1021)) was offered to a group of 34 students o the Hong Kong Academy for Gifted Education. Students were given a short briefing for approximately 3 hours in the Department of Applied Physics, during which the concepts related to remote laboratory and the physics concerning the experiments were introduced. A short tour to the actual experiment setups allowed the participants to appreciate how the automation was realized. Subsequently, students were given 2 weeks to try the experiments, and were asked to complete the reports for three of the experiments.
