This project aims at addressing the following questions:
- In what way is workplace experience important? What are the communicative needs for written and spoken English in the workplace?
- How do working adults perceive the differences in the use/ command of English for fulfilling course requirements and that for communicative needs in the workplace? How about actual differences between workplace discourse and classroom discourse?
- What is the possible gap between workplace communication and business English courses, and how can the gab be bridged?
- How do the findings inform us of how WIE could be implemented in a way to facilitate students learning in business English course?
