Objectives:
- To conduct a survey of general education among selected universities (3 institutions in Hong Kong, Taiwan and mainland China respectively) on different dimensions of general education, including concepts/ models, curricular design, pedagogy, administration and assessment.
- To conduct a number of information-sharing workshops with interested PolyU colleagues to share project outcomes and project leader’s observation and experience.
- To organize a regional symposium on the critical pedagogy and best practices of general education programs.
- To publish a peer-reviewed scholarly report on general education in the greater China region.
