An Engaged Learning Approach in Fashion Retailing

Objectives:

The main objective of this project is to shift the mode of learning from passive to active engaged learning. promote active engaged learning. Successful engaged learners will be responsible for their own learning.  By actively participating in the learning process, they will have a passion for understanding the subject-related knowledge, solving problems and taking the next step in their thinking. In order to do so, it aims to  this project aims to:

  1. encourage students' active participation in learning;
  2. improve their understanding of authentic retail store operations; and
  3. enhance their problem-solving skills by means of creative problem-based projects 

Remarks:

The feedback from a questionnaire survey of students who took this subject was very positive and some of the comments made have been used in revising the teaching materials.
