Objectives:
- To develop a simulation platform for smart grid teaching based on the widely-used power system software HAP, which is a fully integrated AC and DCelectrical power system analysis tool.
- To develop a series of models, including advanced power system components such as large-scale electric vehicle charging stations andbattery energy storage systems and integrate them into the existing library with classical models.
- To integrate advanced planning and operation tools including intelligent power monitoring, energy management, system optimization, advanced automation and even real-time prediction into the platform to support simulation analysis, control and operation of the power system.
- To help the students understand the operating principle of smart grid, encourage their active learning, integrate our latest research into our education and refine our 4-year undergraduate curriculums by adding new knowledge of future power system operation
