Dr. Chung-Wha (Chloe) KI is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Textiles and Clothing (ITC), at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
At the core, Dr. Ki’s research interests lie in consumer psychology and behavior and linking it to diverse consumption contexts, mainly aimed at identifying the core values and/or emotions of consumers that encourage or discourage their choice decisions. Particular focuses include: (1) circular economy and sustainable fashion, (2) digital technology medicated retail and marketing contexts, and (3) luxury fashion.
Further, Dr. Ki has nearly 7 years of industry experience, which enables her to make additional contribution as an educator to the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Leveraging her industry experiences, Dr. Ki develops class materials that contain both theory and practice. The subjects she teaches include: ‘Fashion brand management’; ‘Fashion consumer behavior’; ‘Business development of luxury accessories and lifesyle products’; and ‘Management principles in the fashion business’.
