Dr Henry C. B. Chan received his B.A. and M.A. degrees from the University of Cambridge and his Ph.D. degree from the University of British Columbia. He is currently an Associate Professor and Associate Head in the Department of Computing, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). He was the recipient of the 2015 IEEE Computer Society Computer Science and Engineering Undergraduate Teaching Award (“for outstanding contributions to computing education through teaching, mentoring students and service to the education community”). At PolyU, he has received four President's Awards (including two teaching awards).
