SPOC Support Sessions – What to Do and Not to Do with Your On-campus Course for SPOC Delivery

Facilitator: Roy Kam (EDC)

Date: 25 May 2017

Time: 12:30 PM - 2:00 PM

Venue: BC402

“SPOCs, if properly designed, can play a key role in Blended Learning enhancing the quality of on-campus programmes and learning outcomes of our students.”

In 2016, the Advisory Committee on eLearning (ACE) allocated two rounds of eLearning and Blended Learning Development Funding 2014/15 – 2017/18 for developing Small Private Online Courses (SPOCs), which are required to be from existing or new on-campus subjects.

This support session is the first of a series of customized EDC activities to support funded project teams and/or interested colleagues in designing, developing, implementing and evaluating their SPOCs. Whether you are still in the early stage of the project duration, midway through the duration or in the pre-scheduled summer rush before the SPOC launch in the new academic year, this session will be an excellent starting point to facilitate your teams what to do and not to do in the current status of your SPOC projects with EDC support.

*Priorities will be given to those who enroll are the SPOC project teams funded by ACE; while colleagues who have genuine interest in SPOCs are also welcome.
