Active learning is an essential element for successful learning, particularly in large classes. To promote active learning and thus to enhance students' learning experience and learning outcomes, the Learning and Teaching Committee (LTC) endorsed a policy in September 2016 to require the adoption of technology-enhanced active learning approaches in classes with 200 or more students.

However, making active learning really happen in class is very challenging regardless of the class size.

Do you find the same challenge in your class with your students? Are you curious about what exactly active learning means and how it works? Would you like to hear peers’ advice and experience?

Please come and join this sharing workshop!

In this workshop, we’ll have front-line teachers from various disciplines to share with you:
- What they think active learning is
- What they have done to promote active learning
- The apps/tools/platform/websites they’re using to engage students
- Lessons they learnt from their projects/implementation/practice

Bring also your questions, cases and experience. Let’s share and learn!
