On 8 December, PolyU held its Gala Dinner 2016/17 and Bauhinia Cup Outstanding Entrepreneur Awards Presentation Ceremony under the theme “Opening Minds • Shaping the Future – Our Participation in National Development”. The dinner brought together over 700 distinguished guests, friends, alumni and staff for a joyful evening, raising funds for the University’s development.

On the occasion, the Bauhinia Cup Outstanding Entrepreneur Awards 2016 were presented to recognise 10 outstanding mainland entrepreneurs who have made significant contributions to business and industry, creating business opportunities for local and mainland entrepreneurs and promoting knowledge transfer. The award recipients came from seven provinces, with their scopes of business including data security, information technology, textiles and clothing, materials, finance and commerce, the automobile industry, the cultural industry and mechanical equipment. ♦
