Newly established this year, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University Theatre staged its inaugural performance “Xiaojing Hutong” under the co-direction of Dr Chung King-fai and Mr Lee Ming-sum. Some 30 veteran actors and members of the PolyU Theatre performed in this production.
In relation, the University organised a series of workshops for students and staff, including classes on acting, costume design, stage lighting design and set design. Participants also had opportunities in touring backstage and joining the first script reading, run-through, technical and dress rehearsals of the production.
