PolyU has recently staged two lectures under the Global Leader Lecture Series in celebration of the University’s 80th anniversary. On 16 October, Prof. Justin Lin Yi-fu, Former Senior Vice President and Chief Economist of the World Bank, delivered a lecture titled “The Rise of China and its Implications for Economics and for the World”. He discussed the reasons behind China’s drastic economic growth, and its implications for global economics.
On 24 October at another lecture, Ms Claire Chiang, Senior Vice President of Banyan Tree Holdings Limited and Chairperson of Banyan Tree Global Foundation, shared her insightful views on the role of business in creating value for the community.
