Prof. Daniel Shek of the Department of Applied Social Sciences has received a Distinguished QOL Researcher Award from the International Society for Quality-of-Life Studies (ISQOLS) in recognition of his lifelong contribution to the advancement of adolescent quality of life (QOL) research.

In addition, the ISQOLS has established the “Daniel Shek-Wofoo Foundation Endowed Track”, a permanently endowed component of the ISQOLS’s international conference programme, themed “Advancement of Adolescent Quality of Life Research”. This endowed track will support research activities covering critical areas of adolescent QOL studies, ranging from adolescent well-being to youth leadership and Service-Learning etc.
