The first formula racing team formed by local university students, HKPolyU Racing, is set to compete in the Formula Student Electric China (FSEC) event in Xiangyang, Hubei, on 10-15 October. Comprising over 70 PolyU students from different faculties, the team will compete against 42 counterparts, all from mainland Chinese institutions.

After two years of development, the team’s racing car HKF-01E was unveiled in a ceremony in September. The team is thankful to the guidance from more than 20 academic and technical staff of the University, the funding of around HK$600,000 from various faculties and departments, as well as the support of various means from over 30 companies and organisations in the industry.

HKPolyU Racing will compete in the overall design and technical features categories, as well as the business proposal competition at the FSEC event. Details>>
