Prof. Dan Shechtman, 2011 Nobel Laureate in Chemistry, recently delivered a lecture at PolyU with the topic “Why Should We Teach Technological Entrepreneurship in Universities”. He pointed out that “skilled entrepreneurs starting hi-tech businesses is the key to building up thriving economies” Therefore, he believed that motivating university students of engineering, medicine and science disciplines to start their own businesses would help promote entrepreneurship culture, leading to a huge difference in a country’s development.

Supported by The D. H. Chen Foundation, the Nobel Laureate Lecture Series is one of the celebratory events of PolyU’s 80th Anniversary. Details>>
