On 24 March, the PolyU Orchestra wowed the crowd on campus with a specially arranged flash mob performance to celebrate the University’s 80th Anniversary. Under the baton of conductor Mr Leung Kin-fung, the Orchestra amazingly performed a variation of the melody “Happy Birthday to You”. Event recap>>

In addition, the University has launched The D. H. Chen Foundation Nobel Laureate Lecture Series, inviting Nobel Laureates from various fields to share their insights. On 14 March, Prof. Randy W. Schekman, Nobel Laureate in Physiology or Medicine 2013, delivered the inaugural lecture titled “RNA sorting and packaging in extracellular vesicles secreted by mammalian cells”. He gave participants some food for thought on how protein molecules, such as hormones and enzymes, in the human body are delivered to the right place at the right time in the cells. Details>>
